4:15 p.m. – Boys basketball team and cheerleaders leave for sub-state basketball semi-finals at Horton. Game time is 6:00 vs. JCN. Admission to the game will be $6 for students kindergarten-12th grade and $8 for adults. No passes will be accepted.
The girls will play sub-state basketball semi-finals at Horton tomorrow night vs. Valley Heights at 6:00.
Any Juniors and Seniors planning on attending prom on Saturday, March 25, need to pay any remaining prom fees to Karla in the high school office by this Friday, March 3rd. Outside date fees of $30 are also due to Karla by this Friday as well. An outside date is anyone who is NOT a Riverside junior or senior. Remember to keep your payment receipt.

Any student living in the Riverside School District who will be 4 by August 31, 2023, and not already a current Riverside preschool student, may sign up to attend. We will do a developmental screening as well as hearing and vision. Students who will be 3 by August 31, 2023, may also sign up to attend to determine if specialized instruction and/or related services are warranted. Tips for Driving in the Snow – There is nothing worse than trying to get moving up a hill on an icy road. Get some inertia going on a flat roadway before you take on the hill.
Hello, we kicked off our Kids Heart Challenge this week, where we will raise money for the American Heart Association again. K-5 students have until Friday, March 10th to raise money. Congratulations to the 7th grade MS boys basketball team, winning 1st
place in the Big 7. They boys had an overall record of 12-1. The B team
had a winning record as well going 10-3. Congratulations on a great
season!!
The Doniphan County Spelling Bee was held Feb 15th in Highland at Doniphan West MS/HS. We had a good showing with a couple of our students taking two of the top three places. Xavier Bratcher is the new Spelling Bee champion!!! He did a great job, and his enjoyment after winning it was a pleasure to witness. It was pretty cool to see a kid genuinely excited about his accomplishment as he was giggling and jumping around after spelling his last word. I think the crowd was even happy to see his excitement. Jasper Doolin finished in the third spot. We will be hosting the Bee next year, so hopefully these two, or possibly another, will win at home.
Ticket prices for substate games will be $8 for adults and $6 for students. NO passes will be accepted.
