The Riverside FCA huddle held their first breakfast and devotion of the year this past Thursday morning. There were 30 students in attendance to enjoy good food, friends and faith.
It was pretty exciting to see so many kids show up for this student led event, we hope the numbers will stay up as we meet every other Thursday. If anyone has any questions or would like to support the huddle, please contact one of the student leaders or sponsor Mr. Cera.

Dear Parent/Guardian:
During the week of September 19th, the district will begin administering the SAEBRS social-emotional survey. This survey will be taken by grade 3-12 students and is used to help us gauge the social/emotional well-being of our students. The district has administered this survey annually for a number of years. It gives insight into the problems students may be facing and provides possible avenues on what we can do to help them thrive. The information is also essential for planning effective prevention programs in our school and community. A survey sample is attached to this message.
School districts are now required to remind parents/guardians that they may opt their child out of any survey that will potentially ask personal questions. Most of you signed a permission form at enrollment allowing your child to participate in any such assessment. If you have not already done so and would prefer that your child not participate and opt out entirely, please notify your child's building office by Wednesday, September 14th.
Please do not hesitate to contact the building counselor or social worker to learn which survey questions our school district will administer to students. I hope you will allow your child to participate Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
1. It is completely anonymous. Students will not be asked for their names on the questionnaire, nor will anyone be able to connect any individual student with his/her responses. School staff will not see student responses, only results summaries.
2. Participation is entirely voluntary. Your child may decline to participate in the survey or may skip any question they do not wish to answer.
3. Annual participation is important. Even if your child has participated in previous surveys, yearly data is extremely helpful in determining the effectiveness of prior efforts and changes in program areas.
