High School Daily Announcements 3/7/2025
Reminder - Riverside has an early out tomorrow, Friday, March 7th for the end of the 3rd Quarter. The Elementary will dismiss at 1 pm and the Middle and High School will dismiss at 12:45 pm.
Any student living in the Riverside School District who will be 4 by August 31, 2025 may sign up to attend. Call (913) 365-6735 to schedule an appointment. Proof of residency is required.

The game tonight vs. Bishop Ward is still ON! Game time is 7:00 PM. Please use caution when traveling to the game and walking on the sidewalks/parking lot as we may still have some slick spots! Go Cyclones!!
Riverside baseball apparel is ready to order! To ensure quick turn around for the first game, please have forms and money returned by Friday, March 7th.
*For players still in basketball season, coach will have forms available at school and we will bring them to the basketball game this evening. (If not canceled)
You can return forms to Coach Paden or to Annie at Dreamy Designs on main street in Wathena.

On Thursday, February 27th, dental staff of the Allways Community Health Center in Atchison came to Riverside Elementary School to provide education to Pre-K-5th grade students. The kids were taught how to properly brush their teeth, flossing techniques, and what can happen to their teeth if they don't practice good oral hygiene every day.

It truly takes a village, and this championship season is a testament to
that. From the dedicated athletes on our A, B, and C teams to the
unwavering support of parents, managers, and the entire community, this
victory wouldn't have been possible without the collective effort of
everyone involved. We'd like to extend our deepest gratitude to those who
have gone above and beyond in recent days to make this journey a success.
A special thanks to the parents who came together to provide meals for
those long nights of preparation, as well as the local businesses who
generously put together thoughtful goody bags for every member of the
team. These gestures speak volumes about the heart and spirit of our
community. We'd also like to give a special shout-out to M CON and M CON
Racing. Your support truly made a difference, and we are incredibly
grateful for your contribution. You've shown what it means to invest in
the future of these young athletes, and for that, we thank you. This
championship win is more than just a title-it's a reflection of what we
can achieve when we all come together with a common goal. Thank you to
everyone who has been a part of this journey. This victory is yours as
much as it is ours!

Congratulations to the Riverside Middle School Boys Basketball Team for finishing the season tonight at the NEKL League regular season and tournament Champions with an undefeated record. Riverside dominated the championship game by the score of 49-24. Great season! Go Cyclones!
