The fundraiser is to help raise money for the Doniphan County Sheriff's Department new K-9 deputy dog, Sergio. Sergio will help the fight against drugs, benefiting all of Doniphan County. The school that raises the MOST funds (based on %) will earn bragging rights and a trophy! The fundraiser runs through March 3; Coach Winder’s class will be kicking off the Kids Heart Challenge Monday! Tonight's RMS Scholar's Bowl Meet at Riverside will begin at 4:00 p.m. There will be a concession stand. 7th grade will compete first-three rounds, 8th grade next-three rounds. After a brief break they will start bracket play which will be 2 more rounds. Masks are optional.

RHS Boys and Girls Sub State Basketball brackets are now available. Girls will HOST Horton on Monday, 2/28 at 7:00; Boys will travel to Maur Hill Tuesday, 3/1 at 7:00. Good luck Cyclones!

The camp will be Saturday, February 26th from 10 - 12 at the West Campus. The camp will go over skills needed for tryouts and will include a small routine. It’s not mandatory but will be a great opportunity for girls interested in joining the dance team next year, to learn the skills necessary before tryouts week; Tomorrow, Feb 24 - 4:00 MS Scholars Bowl home; Friday, Feb. 25 - Stuco - 1st lunch, meet in Mrs. Sharps room. We WILL only use the 30 mins. Then you will eat 2nd lunch!; Student Council will be hosting a middle school dance. The dance will start at 4:15 so bring your outfit to school and you will have time to change. The dance will be over at 6:30 so please be sure to have a ride home at that time. RHS Cyclones will be playing at home tonight against Nemaha Central, games begin at 4:00 p.m. Parents night/Senior night recognition for the girls will take place following the JV boys game. Due to inclement weather and poor road conditions, there will be a two-hour delay to the start of school today. There will be no morning pre-school today. Mid-day pre-school and votech bus routes will run at the regular time.
The RMS Scholars Bowl meet begins at 4:00 at Nemaha Central tomorrow. T-shirts will be at school in the morning. Bring a drink/snack, there will not be any concessions. The two teams of 12 will participate in this meet.
The RMS Boys Basketball games @ Holton begin at 4:30 p.m. 8th grade will play in the Holton Middle School Gym, 900 Iowa Ave, Holton KS 8A followed by 8B. 7th Grade will play in the Holton Elementary School Gym, 812 W 5th St, Holton KS 7A followed by 7B.
Cody Hewins qualified for the State Wrestling Tournament by finishing 3rd at Regionals.
Cyclone boys win at Jeff West 54-34. Congratulations to the boys players and coaches! Girls fall 45-31. Both finish off regular season Tuesday at home playing Nemaha Central for Senior night. Sub-state will be the week of February 28.
Cody Hewins, Dylan Brooke, and Carson Coburn will wrestle Saturday at Regionals with the chance of advancing to the state tournament. Good luck Saturday!!
SFC Nathan Lucas came to visit Mrs. Avery’s class after he received a special thank you card from his cousin Parkyr Meers. He wanted to thank everyone for their support and shared how much it meant to him that he was thought of. He answered questions and presented Parkyr with a special gift from his battalion nicknamed the Big Red 1. The students enjoyed seeing money from Europe, and playing a trivia game where they won patches as prizes.
